Richard is the Director of Richard O’Byrne Community Environment Planning, based in Melbourne, Australia. His work is in the parks and recreation sector, specialising in strategic planning, community consultation and public land governance. He also works as an Associate with The Public Land Consultancy, and has considerable experience in management and planning of coastal areas. Richard has previously held senior management roles in state government and is a qualified urban and regional planner. Richard is a member of World Urban Parks and assists as World Congress Convenor. He is also a member of Parks and Leisure Australia and is part of PLA Advisory. He has previously been a member of the Parks and Leisure Australia Regional Board.
