Miguel Angel Mendoza Medina, Architect with expertise in participatory methodologies such as Placemaking, Tactical Urbanism and Collaborative Design. Since 2014, his professional development has been focused on the creation of sociocultural projects that promote the importance of citizen participation and its effects on the dynamics of cities. He is the founder and director of Nomada Estudio Urbano and a board member of the Placemaking Mexico Foundation. As director of Nomada Estudio Urbano, he is credited for the design and implementation of more than 40 urban interventions and diverse public space consultancies for local governments in cities such as Juarez, Chihuahua, Monterrey, Mexico City, Oaxaca, El Paso and Las Cruces. He has been a speaker at spaces such as the International Congress of Urban Parks (2018-2020), Alternative Urbanism Forum (2017), Latin American Placemaking Congress (2018), Urban Resilience Week Juarez (2018-2021), ITESM-INFONAVIT Forum (2020) and the First International Congress of Tactical Urbanism (2021). Likewise, he has contributed to publications such as the Book of Placemaking Mexico (2018), Urban Interventions: Design Ideas for the Public Space (2020) and currently collaborates in portals such as The Empty Square, ArchDaily Mexico, Architectural Digest Mexico and Mexico Design.
