Carl travels the world in his role with the international Green Flag Award. He works with park managers, parks departments, local administrations and national organisations. His work helps people harness the Green Flag Award framework to enhance the quality of their parks and green spaces for people and planet. Originally from Ireland - he studied a BSc Honours degree in Horticulture: Landscape and Amenity Management in England. In 2009 at the age of 25 he became the youngest parks manager in the UK, overseeing projects to redevelop parks in one of the most deprived areas of North East England. After many years achieving Green Flag Award status for the parks he managed, and volunteering as an Award judge - he now promotes the benefits of the program globally and loves every minute of it!
