Description

The history of Parque Fundidora dates back to 1900 when the Compañía de Fierro y Acero de Monterrey, S.A. Opened its doors. Now, more than 100 years later, the remains of this great steel company are the setting for a 144-hectare urban park in the heart of Monterrey. Since 2001 Fundidora Park has been declared a Site Museum of Industrial Archeology, a title granted by the National Institute of Anthropology and History, this being the only one in Latin America.
