Jorge Perez Jaramillo is an architect and urban and regional planner. Member of MDE Urban Lab (www.mdeurbanlab.com), planning advisor to the Government of Antioquia and senior consultant to the World Bank. He is a professor at Universidad Santo Tomas, Medellin, Faculty of Architecture and Master in Territorial Studies, visiting professor at several universities. He was director of planning of Medellin between 2012 and 2015 where he formulated the Medellin Land Use Plan of 2014 Agreement 48 of 2014 and participated in the definition of several strategic projects such as the Macroprojects of the River, River Parks via international competition, the Circunvalar Garden and the Articulated Living Units UVA, among others. He recently published the book Medellín. Urbanismo y Sociedad (2019, Turner Editores México-Madrid) and has published several texts and projects in specialized architecture and urbanism media such as a+u Tokyo, A&V Madrid, The Architectural Review London, King's Review Cambridge, among others.
