He is Manager of Research Projects and leader of the Strategic Decision Nucleus (NED) at the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. With a Master's and a Doctorate in Environmental Engineering with 10 years of experience in leadership activities and projects focused on drawing bridges between technical studies, collaborative decision processes, political decisions and the execution of environmental strategies and actions, all the way, from the design and conceptualization to the management and implementation of small, medium and long-term projects and programs. His areas of specialization are Environmental protection and ecosystem services (best management practices for conservation and restoration); water resources management (water neutrality, water governance, adaptive planning, rainwater harvesting), climate change (climate change adaptation measures), river basin management (structural and non-structural best management practices) , resilient and sustainable cities (resilience strategies and disaster risk management), nature-based solutions (blue-green infrastructure) and sustainable strategies (off-grid technologies). Passionate about promoting solutions to reduce environmental degradation and increase resilience to climate change and development challenges, he works on different projects to seek climate resilience in urban and rural areas, conducting studies of Water Prospecting and Evaluation of Extreme hydrometeorological events such as pluvial and fluvial floods for the implementation of Nature-based Solutions (Blue-Green Infrastructure) and Off-Grid Technologies for water. I am working on the 2030 Agenda for the SDGs as an ExpertODS (SDSN Mexico). It is an active member of the Core Group of the Green Infrastructure Network launched by GIZ Mexico and part of the Mexican Hydrographic Basin Network (REMEXCU).
